Did you know it’s #NationalPizzaDay? I bet just the thought of delicious, warm, saucy, cheesy pizza is already making you hungry so why not keep the kitchen clean tonight and head out to one the wonderful pizza place around town?
Here is a list of some of my personal favorites around town to satisfy your craving:
1. One Guy from Italy
If you have lived in Lubbock any longer than a few days, I am POSITIVE that you already know about One Guy’s pizza. With two locations (one on 50th and one on University), you can definitely fulfill your Italian cravings.
2. Capital Pizza
Capital pizza has been in Lubbock, for six years now and is definitely becoming a local favorite. Located in Tech Terrace, and now down off of Quaker, Capital pizza is serving up great eats and drinks!
3. West Crust
Known for their Artisan pizza’s, West Crust has a great menu and create-your-own options! This quaint eatery, sits off the loop by Alamo Draft House. They offer great Student and Military discounts!
4. Urban Bricks
This Texas based pizza chain has extensive menu options for you to chose from! They have everything from Pizza and Panini’s to Gelato and Specialty Beers. Located on Milwaukee, this unique pizza place would be a great #NationalPizzaDay choice.
5. Woody’s Brick Oven Pizza & Grill
A Lubbock based Pizza place with a real passion for freshness, Woody’s makes their own dough and sauces. Their menu also includes burgers, sandwiches, and calzones. Their breakfast pizza looks like it might be worth a try too. Find them on 34th St.
6. BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse
This chain restaurant deserves a place on this list. With many menu options to choose from, their pizza is a must order. They have a great thin crust and a wonderful dessert Pizookie that’ll hit the spot. They’re real hard to miss, you’ll see them located right off the S. Loop Quaker exit.
